Thursday: 9:00 – 10:15am Yoga Dance (see description below)
Friday: 8:00 – 9:15am
Saturday: 8:00 – 9:15am
All-level yoga class linking breath & movement to create flexibility, strength, and deep relaxation. Classes are limited to nine participants. Phone call or e-mail needed to secure a space.
Cost for 8 weeks:
$96 once a week
$160 twice a week
$15 drop in
The Barn is located at 88 Green St. in Newbury. Follow High St. from Newburyport to the Newbury Duck Pond Green. At the light take a right on to Hanover St. and then your first left on to Green St. Go about .6 of a mile and The Barn is on the right @ the corner of Green St. and Old Boston Road. Park on right side, along the front of the house and beyond (the property extends quite abit down the street). If it is Saturday, please park end to end around the u shaped driveway. Enter through barn door into storage area, remove shoes and step up into the beautiful studio.
Yoga Dance
Unlike social dancing, yoga dance is more of an inward experience, a dance that moves from the inside out. We will dance through seven energy centers in the body called chakras, meeting points for mind and body. Dances and music will lead us toward balancing these energy systems. It's fun and invigorating to shake up the energy! Suggestions for possible simple dance steps may be introduced but they are only suggestions. You'll find your own form of movement that feels right in your body.

Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga
Multi-Level Classes
Focus on building a solid foundation in Asana practice, integration of breath and movement, awareness and alignment, development of core and upper body strength and flexibility - all within a system of safe sequencing with emphasis on levels of postures and modifications for injury prevention. Compassionate self-awareness and breath work is emphasized throughout the class.
Private Yoga Sessions
(Private yoga instruction, Contact Yoga and Yogassage)
What to Expect
Attention solely devoted to your practice by qualified instructors. A deeper understanding of the attention and focus of specific postures while working towards improving alignment. Identification of personal limitations within your practice, and tailored sessions designed to address those areas.
