Mission Statement
Our purpose is to provide a heart centered, stimulating environment that will inspire prospective yoga teachers to find their own unique expression and authentic "teacher within". Anahata Integrated Yoga Teacher Training honors all yogic lineage's and spiritual traditions.

Statement of Purpose
Teachers and students will deepen their own relationship to self and develop a style of teaching that supports this awakening in others.
SECTION 1
Principles
To uphold the highest professional standards for yoga teachers, AIYTT agrees to accept the following principles:
1. To avoid discrimination based on religion, gender, sexual orientation, religion or national origin.
2.To manage our personal lives in a healthy way physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
3.To establish and maintain appropriate professional relationship boundaries.
SECTION 2
Professional Practices
AIYTT will advance the yoga profession in the following ways:
1. We will use our knowledge and professional associations for the benefit of those we serve.
2. Fees and financial arrangements will be discussed in the beginning in a straightforward way.
3. Fiscal affairs will follow recognized business and accounting procedures.
4. Professional qualifications will be presented honestly.
5. Teachers will follow the yamas and niyamas.
SECTION 3
Student Relationships
AIYTT will maintain a professional relationship with students.
1. We will stand by students and work to resolve differences in a way that meets the needs of all involved. If for some reason we cannot meet the needs of a particular student, we will help that student find a program that will meet his/her needs.
2. We will honestly describe the benefits of yoga.
3. We will respect the moral, social, and religious standards of students.
4. We will avoid personal relationships that would interfere with the teacher/student relationship.
5. We understand that we have power with our students to effect change, not power over them.
6. We consider all forms of sexual behavior or harassment with students unethical.
SECTION 4
Confidentiality
We respect the privacy of students and consider information revealed during the training to be confidential in nature.
1. All students records and communications will be kept confidential.
2. We will receive written permission for audio and video taping.
SECTION 5
Assistant, Student and Employee Relationships
1. We do not engage in sexual or other forms of harassment.
2. We insure the competency of the teachers at AIYTT.
3. We will provide a clean and safe space for learning.
4. The teacher in the class will work collaboratively with students in the pursuit of knowledge and understanding.
SECTION 6
Interpersonal Relationships
AIYTT recognizes its relationship to all other yoga programs
1. Knowingly soliciting another teacher's student is unethical.
2. Speaking ill of other teachers or programs is unethical.
SECTION 7
Advertising
All of AIYTT advertising will be truthful and honest and undertaken to help prospective students make informed judgments and choices.
